WINEMAKER: Parke Hafner
In 1967 Dick and Mary Hafner purchased 250 acres in Alexander Valley. 100 of those acres are vineyards; the rest are oak woodlands that are left for the flora and fauna. In September 1982 they were ready for their first crush with Parke at the helm. Now three generations of Harfners work together producing Chardonnay, Cabernet, a Malbec blend and Rose. Perfectly quoted by Parke, “if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.”
A true partnership forms from a connection but also the deeper set of values. Living a simple and balanced life of family, friends, nature and adventure couldn’t be anymore apparent in these wines and with this team.
Produced from only Malbec grapes, we fermented the 2020 Rosé cold in a temperature-controlled stainless steel tank to retain its fruity components. The 2020 Rosé opens with a lovely, fruit driven bouquet of watermelon candies, ripe strawberries and rose petals. Bright, fresh and lively, it has a nice roundness and richness on the palate and a long, lingering finish that makes it the perfect accompaniment for Summer.
2015 Next Red Blend
85% Malbec, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon with 5% Petit Verdot. It has complex aromas of blueberry, carpaccio, juniper berries and cola spice with a round, supple entry and nice weight in the mid-palate. Showcasing flavors of violets, bittersweet chocolate and freshly roasted coffee.
