WINEMAKER: Parke Hafner
In 1967 Dick and Mary Hafner purchased 250 acres in Alexander Valley. 100 of those acres are vineyards; the rest are oak woodlands that are left for the flora and fauna. In September 1982 they were ready for their first crush with Parke at the helm. Now three generations of Harfners work together producing Chardonnay, Cabernet, a Malbec blend and Rose. Perfectly quoted by Parke, “if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.”
A true partnership forms from a connection but also the deeper set of values. Living a simple and balanced life of family, friends, nature and adventure couldn’t be anymore apparent in these wines and with this team.
2016 Estate Chardonnay
Complex with defined characters, this Chardonnay is fermented 50% in French oak barrels giving it a roasted nuts aroma and greater depth on the palate. The remaining 50% was fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain more of the grapes’ aromas of citrus and tropical fruit.

2012 Cabernet Sauvignon
2012 was a growing season that winemakers dream of – great set during bloom, mild summer temperatures with no heat spikes, moderate fall days. In essence, the stars aligned and brought an exceptional quality fruit and good yields that defined a complex yet subtly rich Cabernet showcasing their Alexander Valley estate.
