WINEMAKER: Ryan Kunde
DRNK represents the collective joy of working and being together. Founded in 2012, Ryan has a rich winemaking legacy, with five generations of vineyard stewardship in Sonoma County dating back to the 1880’s. Located in an idyllic setting atop the Laguna Ridge in the heart of Russian River Valley with a 300 foot wine cave – only 1 of 4 in the area. Ryan is guided by a philosophy that blends an understanding of the land and tradition with evolving science and data that allows for precision winemaking.
2017 Viognier, Catie’s Corner Vineyard
RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY
A brilliant pale lemon yellow color with intense and persistent aromas of apricot, canned peaches, and cantaloupe, along with whiffs of white flower and perfume. This wine has a broad mid-palate, focused acidity, and nice minerality with a lasting mouthwatering finish. Pairs wonderfully with seafood dishes.
2017 Old Vine Zinfandel
This Zinfandel vineyard has been dry farmed for over 130 years and in the Kunde family since 1904. Ryan first walked this vineyard block with his grandfather in the 1980’s and now coming full circle, he’s finally made its wine. Structurally, the wine is vibrant with great depth of fruit, body and flavor with dusty mature tannins and a long lingering finish.
